BNP vote down in Thurrock

The BNP might have won one seat in Thurrock but according to my cursory look their average share of the vote is down on last year. In 2007 the BNP contested every single seat and averaged 24.5% of the vote.
In 2008 they again contested every seat but their average vote fell to 21.8%.
This is still far too high but reflects a general decline in the BNP share across the country.

There vote also fell here in Worcester. In my ward, Gorse Hill, they dropped to third place behind the Tories. Unfortunately however, they still had support and their leaflets were pretty aweful. Roger Berry Worcester City Councillor Gorse Hill Ward.

Not surprised about their leaflets. Martin Roberts (leader of the city's fascists) has said some vile things via the letters page of the Worcester Evening News in the past.
