Tommy Suffers Memory Loss

Matthew Collins - 19 06 12

Looks like EDL leader Tommy Robinson aka Stephen Yaxley Lennon is suffering from a selective memory.

According to his Twitter account he is due back in court on Thursday.

Yet according to Tommy it is all part of a huge conspiracy to silence him and his hooligan army.

Tommy wrote “Good luck to our lads in court this week. I’m up thursday as well! Mission, london court then onto somerset.”

When questioned on how could he expect to be taken seriously as a political heavyweight when he is in and out of court on a regular basis Tommy churned out his sob story.

“its not my fault i’m in and out of court. Am i yet to be imprisoned. Its part of the campaign to silence us.”

He seems to have forgotten that in 2005 he was jailed for twelve months for assaulting an off-duty police officer who intervened to stop a domestic incident between Tommy and his girlfriend. During the scuffle Tommy kicked the officer in the head.

He also seems to have forgotten that in 2011 he was convicted of having “used threatening, abusive or insulting behaviour” after he led a group of Luton Town football hooligans into a 100 man brawl.Tommy played a major part in starting the fight during which he chanted “EDL till I die”. He was given a 12-month community rehabilitation order and a three-year ban from attending football matches. He was also sentenced to 150 hours’ unpaid work, and ordered to pay £650 in costs.

Also in 2011 he was convicted of common assault after headbutting a fellow EDL member at a rally in Blackburn in April that year. He was sentenced to a paltry 12 week suspended prison sentence plus a 150 hour community order with £200 costs.

Amnesia? Cobblers more like.
