In a move that will upset a large number of EDL members, EDL leader Tommy Robinson aka Stephen Yaxley Lennon has released a statement cancelling their Walthamstow demonstration at short notice.
The statement reads ” Due to prior committments myself and Kev Carroll will be unable to make Walthamstow on the 18th August. Following discussions with the Police today it has been agreed that the date will be changed to Saturday 1st September 2012, all other details remain the same apart from the date change.”
As most of the EDL divisions have already started organising transport this will no doubt be seen as yet another slap in the face for the ordinary EDL members.
