The English Defence League have launched a verbal attack on double gold medal winner Mo Farah.
Farah, who won both the 5,000m & 10,000m gold medals at last months London Olympics was originally born in Somalia, moving to the UK at the age of 8.
Moments after Mo Farah’s 10,000m victory, Mo was asked by a journalist if he’d have preferred to run as a Somali. He replied: “Look mate, this is my country.
“This is where I grew up, this is where I started life. This is my country and when I put on my Great Britain vest I’m proud. I’m very proud.”
The message from the EDL was posted on a number of their divisional Facebook pages.
