Here's some news from Leonard Zeskind:

"On the ground in Kansas City, Missouri, hundreds of people were lining up at their voting stations an hour before the polls opened up. Missouri is one of those battleground states that had voted Republican in the last several presidential elections, but that Sen. Obama has put into play this time around. He needs large turnouts in the cities to counter the effect of McCain’s pull among rural and suburban white voters. Mike Enriquez, a community organizer helping to get out the vote deep in the city’s black community, said “everybody is all hyped up.” He described unemployed men in the neighborhood who had already voted sitting on their front porches and anxiously awaiting the final tally."
