Flop: Gordon Riddell
Today has just got a whole lot worse for the BNP.
We reported earlier that the BNP polled just 2.9% in the Manchester Central parliamentary by-election, losing their deposit and an even poorer 1.8% in the Ardwick ward council by-election for Manchester City Council.
We can now report a further two failures at the ballot box for the BNP.
In Corby, the parliamentary by election saw the BNP’s Gordon Riddell finish in 5th place with 614 votes, that is just a paltry 1.72% of the total vote. As in Manchester Central the BNP lost their deposit.
Down in Poole, the Branksome East by election for Poole Council saw the BNP’s William Kimmet fall into last place with a laughable 28 votes (2.31%)
