A foul pint

Eccles: pub landlord with an attitutde

Being a southern softie, apparently, I am a lager drinker. I am told however, that the brewery Thwaites make a decent enough ale for those who prefer the darker side of enjoying a light libation with friends.

The independent brewery has been running since 1807 and is quite boastful of their cask ales.

Perhaps the independent brewery should look a little closer at how some people abuse the privilige of working for or representing the company. Take the Landlord of the Dungeon Inn in Tottington, Bury.

Mr Andrew Eccles, yes, he formerly of the BNP and most recently UKip, is not a racist apparently, but he had previously been tied up in some kind of burn a Koran Day nonsense, which he managed to shake off.

Perhaps Thwaites may like to tell him to change the Facebook status he has put up for his pub. As well as advertising he is part of their fine tradition, Mr Eccles has a lot more to say for himself.

That to anyone, would make their pint taste off.
