Southampton neo-Nazi accused of planning cynanide attacks

A neo-Nazi from the Southampton area who was accused of a plot to kill non whites with cyanidehas been told he will face trial in December.

Mark Colborne is charged with engaging in conduct in preparation of terrorist acts contrary to section 5(1) of the Terrorism Act 2006.

Colborne appeared via video link at the Old Bailey from Belmarsh prison where he is being kept on remand.

Mr Justice Sweeney set the date of December 8 for a trial lasting one to two weeks.

Colborne was arrested on June 3 when counter terrorism police searched his home in Sholing, Southampton. He was later charged with the terror offence on July 1.

The defendant was remanded in custody until his next court appearance on October 27 for a plea and case management hearing.
