We have just launched a petition to register our opposition to the election of a BNP MEP. We will deliver this petition to the European Parliament on the day Andrew Brons takes his seat.

This is hideous, not only that a party like the BNP exists, but that people have become so deeply disillusioned with their politicians that they turn to extremists who peddle hate, racism and prejudice as manifestos. Until the day comes that politics is truly democratic and honest, our actions will occur. We will continue to fight like all those who have fought for Britain, t of their own nationality. it is our duty.

What a sad day for Britain. I am ashamed that a member of a racist/facist organisation should be elected to represent my country in the European Parliament. I only hope that members of the mainstream political parties now unite to fight this threat to our democracy as the BNP are now able to access public funds to fight yet more council and Parliamentary seats. I have circulated the petition to all my family, friends and email contacts - I urge you to do the same

Tonight is a night when a section of the UK electorate brought shame upon us by electing the nazi Andrew Brons and, maybe, the equally nazi Nick Griffin to the European Parliament. That this has happened just two days after the anniversary of D-Day when the liberation of Europe really began on the western front makes me want to vomit. At the same time, the Labour Party has brought a lot of this on itself with its venality, its arrogance and its desertion of working class people. As Nick says, we need to pick ourselves up, dust ourselves down and resume the battle against the fascist filth that now stains Britain.

Wouldn't it be great if this petition got more signatories than the BNP got votes in the election?

I am proud to have taken my own photo holding up a Union Jack with Not in my name written over it. How about if we all did that, then we can also send a message to the nazi BNP they cannot hijack our national flag!!!

Whether you like it or not Brons and Griffin have been elected in a valid voting system, I do not agree with their politics but I support the voters right to place a cross against their chosen candidate. Thank God we still have that in our country the right for a free vote. What we need to do is look at the root causes, these voters have a right for their views to be heard, the political classes and the Beeb are not listening to ordinary people in post-industrial towns, the labour party used to but not since new labour came along, is it time for a new party?
