North West

It seems that Nick Griffin has sneaked in in the North West with just 8% of the vote. That means that the BNP only just increased their vote on 2004. However, they got in so that's really disappointing. However, the fight goes on. We will regroup, re-organise and come back stronger than ever.

I'm not sure this sort of campaign is the answer. If it was we wouldn't have Tweedledum and Tweedledumber heading for Brussels right now. Without properly functioning major political parties, engaging with the people and the issues, this country is in trouble. I think those opposed might be better off joining the major political parties, and pulling them up by the scruff of the neck into action. A negative, one issue campaign won't repair the damage done.

I'm not sure that I would use the names Tweedledum and Tweedldumber for a pair of fascists - too innocent by far! The anti-fascist movement in this country is decades old and must continue to transcend Party Politics and not be allied to a particular party. All political parties however (with one exception?!) SHOULD support Hope not Hate. I know it sounds really twee, but let Hope not Hate continue to hold the moral high ground - above the quagmire of present day party politics.
