Police say there are 1,000 UAF protestors and 600 EDL protestors currently in piccadilly gardens. However, I understand that there are still some EDL who have not arrived.

How can we let this happen in our city centres? I hope the fools in the Home Office, who reported that the EDL has no connection to football hooliganism and are not a public order threat, are put on cleaning duty.

I was there with my young son to protest against the EDL, but careful to avoid any violent clashes. Coming home we saw that there were groups of EDl blokes in the back streets between the gardens and the train station. The police have surrrounded UAF protesters - but the EDL are simply moving in packs through the city. All the shops are closed in the area.
