BNP on QT: Join me

At about 7pm this evening Nick Griffin will be asked his first question on Question Time. Will he be confrontational? Will he try to appear moderate and mainstream? Will he lose his rag? Or will he accuse Jack Straw of being a war criminal and claim that Baroness Warsi is only where she is because of positive discrimination?
Three and a half hours later the rest of us will hear what he has to say. And I shall be here, blogging throughout the evening, to let you know what is going on. I will give you my take on his performance and, more importantly, highlight his lies and evasions.
And I want to hear from you too. Whether you are on the protest, work inside the BBC or just have a view to add – please get in touch. Send a reply to this blog or email at nick@hopenothate.org.uk
So join me throughout the late afternoon and evening for the live HnH QT blog

Should we even watch it? Surely wouldn't high rating just encourage more broadcasters to invite them on.
[Nick replies: I wish I certainly didn't have to!]

So that means the BBC have 3 hours or so to edit it down, take out all the rambling incoherencies and thinly-disguied anti-semitic conspiracy theories, and make Griffin look more respectable than he actually is? I don't think 3 hours is going to be enough time.

I am very glad Mr Griffin appeared on question time. Because I honestly think he completely humiliated himself in a genuine political arena. I have a massive faith in educated people having a very tolerant view to the BNP - purely because it is absolute nonsense and no intelligent person would even give this a genuine moment of thought. It really seems to have missed Mr Griffin that the major majority of our small island is made up of the decendants of the various invaders which have populated our isle during some time in the past. If a single person can trace their heritage back to the thawing of the last ice-age, as Mr Griffin would like to suggest, then fair play - these people deserve to be here more than me - or anyone else for that matter - I honestly challenge anyone to trace their geneology back this far. In short - I was very glad to see Mr Griffin on question time tonight, as the only way we can dis-credit this man's view is to give him the platform on which to humiliate himself.

The trouble with democracy is that we have to listen to all views despite personal feeling or agenda. As an immigrant myself I am encouraged by the BBC for upholding democracy and having just watched Q.Time I hope people will take it upon themselves to learn more about this party. Better the devil you know and all that. The only unfortunate thing is that all representives of the 3 main political PARTIES escaped and hid behind the presence of Nick Griffin who spent most if not all the hour tripping himself up anyway. Another point is that misfortune and strife will always GIVE rise to people like Nick who are best placed to take advantage. People need jobs = who's to blame = immigration, at least the BNP tell it as it is and they do have a point. Soon this country will lose its identity completely, you allow people to come in willy nilly, clog up the benefit system and now jobs are being taken by people who don't even speak your language. You can't argue with that. So I SUGGEST STRONGLY THAT WE TAKE THIS AS WARNING SHOT BECAUSE IF THINGS DON'T CHANGE THIS PARTY WILL GO FROM STRENGTH TO STRENGTH. I'll stop there. PS 9/11 created millionaires fastforward 8 years another financial meltdown has strengthened the foundations of the BNP.
