With most councils not releasing details of council candidates until Monday accurate information is hard to come by.
However I have details of 157 candidates from just ten local authorities.
My prediction of 1,000 candidates might be an underestimate.
I'll keep you informed as I hear more throughout the evening and during tomorrow.
