War veteran backs our campaign

A war veteran from South Glamorgan is backing our campaign in Bradford. He has just sent us this message and photo.

"I was the Mid-upper gunner of a Lancaster in the war against Nazi hatred and racism. With the help of our Soviet allies and milliions of ordinary people we won.
We must not allow fascist thoughts to crawl out of the woodwork again."

Glad to have your support George. I hope others remember what you did and they do their bit now.

Thank you. My father was a navigator on Lancasters, and, although he has gone now, his memory is best served by resisting fascism whenever it starts to reappear.

Thank you George. My late father was a Signals officer with the 43rd Wessex Regt. He was at D-day and then the relief of Arnhem among other theatres in WWII, fighting fascism.

There will never be any place in a civilised society for facism or racism. Also its an insult to the millions of my Fathers generation who fought and in some cases paid the ultimate sacrifice. I often hear people today who state things like "Oh well he ( Hitler) had some good ideas. This infuriates me, to think people have no respect for what millions sacrificed in order to rid the world of the scourge that was nazism. There has I believe over the years been a lack of teaching of what happened in our recent history, which has to be addressed to prevent future generations being sold on this vile doctrine called facism.
