BNP activities this weekend

HOPE not hate has received news of several BNP activities around the country over the next few days that people might wish to observe.
Friday 13 March – Newport
BNP meeting in Newport, South Wales, 7.30pm at the Hereward Arms, Hereward Road, Maindee. William Brewer, the branch’s “information coordinator” promises a free buffet with “biscuets” [sic].
Friday 13 March – Leigh
The BNP has again lost its venue for a fundraising meeting. The event in Leigh, Lancashire, was to be part of the party’s Battle for Britain tour, which aims to raise funds for its European election campaign. The BNP claims to have an alternative venue.
Saturday 14 March – Sunderland
BNP activists intend to display a banner reading “People like you voting BNP” to football fans on their way to the Sunderland v Wigan match. They will also hand out leaflets. The activity will be near the Albion pub, Southwick Road, Sunderland.
Saturday 14 March – southwest London
Merton and Wandsworth BNP are hosting an all-London members’ meeting and social with a 1940s theme at the Woodstock pub, Stonecot Hill, Sutton, at 7.30pm, with guest speakers, entertainment and a buffet.
Saturday 14 March – west London
BNP leafleting in Hounslow, meeting 11am at Isleworth station.
Saturday 14 March – southeast London
Greenwich BNP are holding a meeting at 2pm, redirection point is Mottingham station at 1.45pm. Guest speaker is Lee Barnes, the BNP’s “legal eagle”.
Saturday/Sunday 14-15 March – west London
West London members will be wearing out their shoe leather leafleting. They will meet 11am at Hillingdon tube station on both days.
Saturday/Sunday 14-15 March – east London
BNP leafleting and canvassing in Havering, meeting at Hornchurch tube at 11am.
Monday 16 March – North East
Paul Golding, the newly elected BNP councillor in Sevenoaks, will take yet more time out from representing his ward and drive the BNP’s lie lorry from Berwick-upon-Tweed to Sunderland, arriving in St Thomas Street around 1pm. BNP activists will hand out leaflets and the truck will drive around the city centre before leaving for Teesside.
