Telling Nuneaton the true nature of the BNP

HOPE not hate / Searchlight | Sunday, 3 May 2009

They say the sun shines on the righteous - well it certainly shone on the HOPE not hate activists who delivered thousands of leaflets in Nuneaton on Saturday.

Nuneaton elected two councillors to the Borough Council in 2008, in the Camp Hill and Bar Pool wards. "And that is where we started our campaign," said campaigner Alan Weaver, "because we know that the BNP got elected in those areas by spreading their usual lies and myths."

Campaigners came from as far as Rugby, Coventry and Atherstone to support the Nuneaton HOPE not hate camapign.

"It is great that we have support from across Warwickshire and that so many people are prepared to give up their weekend to ensure the BNP don't have any success in the European and County Council elections on 4 June," Alan continued.

"This is how we defeat the BNP, by getting on the streets, delivering the leaflets and newspapers to people's homes and telling people the true nature of the BNP. The BNP is racist to its core – most voters don't realise that because the BNP wrap it up and hide it away. Well, today in Nuneaton we put the record straight."
