Kevin Foster, Deputy Leader of Coventry Council, boarded the HOPE not hate bus today to condemn the BNP.

Kevin, a Conservative Party member, joined trade unionists from Unite the Union and local Labour Party members to back the campaign.

"We are all from Coventry and we all find the BNP abhorent.

"We are all patriots, even though we have different opinions on a number of issues, but we all find the BNP disgusting. So I'm happy to stand shoulder to shoulder with anyone who finds the BNP as repulsive as I do."

Kevin joined another Coventry councillor, David Chater from the Labour Party, on the bus in Broadgate, in Coventry city centre.

"Kevin and I disagree on a number of issues, serious issues in the council chamber. But we both detest the BNP and everything that they stand for. We want Coventry to remain a hate-free zone and people have to do that by voting against them whenever they can."
