BNP election train pulls into Cheshire

The BNP has distributed three leaflets over the past seven days in support of its candidate in a council by-election in Stanlow and Wolverham on 11 November. The BNP is hoping to capture the seat on Ellesmere Port and Neston Borough Council from Labour.
The BNP candidate, David Joines, was fifth on the BNP list in the party's failed bid to win a European Parliament seat in the North West region in June. He then came third in an Ellesmere Port council by-election in Central ward on 17 July, beating the Conservatives and UK Independence Party.
The Labour Party has organised a campaign of mass canvassing and the Merseyside Campaign Against Racism and Fascism will be active in the ward as well.
Labour will be canvassing on Monday to Thursday in the weeks beginning 25 October and 1 November and will also leaflet the ward the evening before the election. The team assembles at 6pm at the Epic car park at the entrance to Whitby Park, Stanney Lane, Ellesmere Port. The campaign contact phone number is 0151 666 1999.
Searchlight calls on all our readers in the region to support this campaign against the BNP.
Searchlight has been warning for some time that the BNP will try to get a head start in by-election campaigns by not publicising its candidates in BNP publications or on its website.
