Leaflet against the BNP Saturday 8th October, 11am the Broadway, Debden

Meet at the "walk thru" close to Woolworths on the Broadway

The BNP leafleted and collected petitions in Loughton Broadway, Debden, last Saturday. This is in response to the fact that the BNP Councillor Farr has been suspended for three months – see details

Epping Forest District Council has not been cowered by this activity. On the contrary, they have just voted to remove him from the Complaints Committee by – 43 votes for, 1 vote against and 1 abstention. But certainly there will be people in Debden who will not know the background and might be taken in by their lies and in see it as an infringement of civil liberties. Their leaflet has also tried to blame migrants and refugees for proposed housing developments in the area. So it is very important to put the story right.

It is also possible that the BNP might see this as a prelude to doing regular stalls/leafletings in the Broadway. We need to make it clear that we will not let their material go unchallenged.

So for all these reasons it is important that Redbridge & Epping Forest Together leaflet the Broadway also and we will be doing this on 8th October. We need as many people as possible so please come along if you can. If we have enough we could leaflet in Farr's ward also.

See you there.
