Councillor evicted for rent arrears

A BNP councillor has been evicted from her council home for failing to pay her rent, and her position as an elected member could be in jeopardy.

The Recorder revealed in May how unemployed Cllr Claire Doncaster, 24, was taken to court by Barking and Dagenham Council for owing more than £2,000 in rent.

But despite promising to pay, she did not.

Last week bailiffs arrived to evict the Alibon ward councillor from her flat in Heathway, Dagenham.
