Shut down Redwatch

Jacqui Smith, the Home Secretary, has announced plans to clamp down on radical websites that groom people for terrorism. "We are already working closely with the communications industry to take action against paedophiles. I believe we should also take action against those who groom vulnerable people for the purposes of violent extremism," she told a conference marking the launch of the International Centre for the Study of Radicalisation and Political Violence at King's College London yesterday.
Her concern was with Islamist extremists but the extreme right also has websites that link to US sites that encourage violence in the white supremacist cause and include bomb-making instructions. And of course Redwatch openly posts pictures and details of anyone who has upset the nazis, with the very thinly disguised aim of persuading supporters to take retaliatory action.
Searchlight calls on the Home Office to shut down Redwatch now.
