Powell: Photographed two years ago
Jack Powell is an unpleasant individual. The Swansea based nazi is one of the infamous family of nazi Boneheads infamous for their violence and musical exploits as a band called the Rednecks.
Jack, the baby of the family, should be looking forward to being a father. A rare pleasure for neo-nazis. Instead, the 22 year old attacked the mother of his unborn child and has now been jailed for 16 weeks.
Jack is well known to us at HOPE not hate and we photographed him back in 2014 being arrested at a ‘White Pride’ demo in Swansea. Now he’ll be taking his racist tattoos and history of violence against women to prison with him. Just as his mate and fellow National Front member Shaun Jones did a couple of months ago too.

Swansea Magistrates’ Court heard yesterday that the 22-year-old had appeared calm when he turned up at his partner’s home, and she felt confident to let him in despite the can of Fosters lager in in his hand. He then unleashed his violence on her.
His brief actually asked the court to pay him “due credit” for pleading guilty.
The Powell family try and portray themselves as some sort of patriotic family merely with nazi tattoos. They have previously been described as the most “dysfunctional family” in Wales. We agree.
At a party they hosted a few years ago, a man dressed in a Ku Klux Klan outfit lynched a golliwog.
As Jack heads off to prison, there’s very little point in questioning whether his parents are proud of him.
