Payroll giving

Payroll Giving or Give As You Earn (GAYE). is a scheme run by your employer that allows you to donate to a charity tax-free through your salary.

You can donate to as many charities as you like. And your donation will automatically stop when you leave your employer.

• You can give to charity tax-free.
• You can support one or multiple causes.
• If you are a higher rate taxpayer, this is the only way to pass all the tax on your donation  automatically to your chosen charity.
• It’s easy to set up and the donation is automatically taken from your gross income every month.

How to sign up?

Check whether your employer is signed up to any payroll giving scheme.

If they are, inform them to set up your giving to HNH. If not, it’s straightforward for them to sign up to the scheme through one of the HMRC-approved Payroll giving agencies
